Pastor: Jason Porter

Pastor Porter started Gospel Light Baptist Church in October 2002.  He is married to Stephanie Porter and they have 2 handsome young boys, Nathaniel (8) and Jarred (6).  He was called to preach at 18, and followed the leading of God to attend college at Commonwealth Baptist College in 2001.  One year later, he moved back to Ashland and started Gospel Light Baptist Church.  Pastor Porter absolutely loves people.  He truly cares for the individual and their needs.  He preaches the Bible and it's truths and is not ashamed of it.  His labor in love and dedication to this work is evident at this church.  The Lord has blessed the church with seven fruitful years of souls saved, lives changed, and stronger families.  God is certainly working on the lives of Gospel Light Baptist Church!

Associate Pastor: Jeff Baldwin

Jeff Baldwin grew up in New York most of his life.  He enrolled in Commonwealth Baptist College in 2003 to see what the Lord had for his life.  After a year of Bible college, he felt the Lord leading him in the education field.  Jeff graduated from CBC in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Education and spent the next 12 months seeking God's direction in his life.  In May 2008, Jeff, along with his wife Jeana, moved to Ashland, KY to serve on staff with Pastor Jason Porter at Gospel Light Baptist Church.  His main responsibility is to be the Principal of Gospel Light Baptist School and to oversee the education of the enrolled students.  He is also a Sunday school teacher and is responsible for the design and upkeep of the church website.  Jeff was married to his wife, Jeana, on July 7, 2006, who also serves at Gospel Light Baptist Church.

Secretary: Jeana Baldwin

Jeana Abbott Baldwin grew up in New York most of her life.  She enrolled in Commonwealth Baptist College in 2004 and was determined to work towards a Bachelor's degree in Office Administration.  In May 2008, she accomplished her goal and received her Bachelor's degree.  She moved with her husband, Jeff, to Ashland just one day after graduation.  She now serves as a supervisor of Gospel Light Baptist School as well as the secretary of Gospel Light Baptist Church.  She spends much of her time working in the school, supervising the progress of student's work, administring tests, and keeping things in order.  Jeana also works in the office as she calculates and deposits the church offerings, sends cards, and pays the church bills.  She loves her work and enjoys a job well done.
